Hey, I’m Captain Kenneth “Kenne” Probst, owner and operator of Capt. Kenne Charters in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

I grew up in Bullhead City along the Colorado River, where boating and fishing weren’t just hobbies; they were a way of life. What started as a childhood passion eventually turned into a career, and today I’m fortunate enough to make a living doing what I love.

From Deckhand to Captain

My journey started at just 16 years old, working as a deckhand for Capt. Doyel, a local fishing guide in Topock, Arizona. That’s where I began learning the ropes, from understanding fish behavior and reading the water to the importance of giving people a great experience.

Over the years, my adventures took me all the way to Ninilchik, Alaska, where I worked as a fishing guide and deckhand chasing halibut and salmon. I’ve also spent years operating boats throughout Lake Havasu and the Colorado River.

Today, I’m a USCG-licensed 25-Ton Master Captain, Arizona-licensed fishing guide, and proud owner of Capt. Kenne Charters.

More Than Just a Boat Ride

As a 5-star rated Lake Havasu charter 

captain, I offer private boat charters, guided fishing trips, sunset cruises, Topock Gorge excursions, sober captain services, and boating lessons.

When it comes to fishing, I guide for every sport fish species Lake Havasu has to offer, from hard-fighting Striped Bass and trophy Flathead Catfish to Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, and world-record-class Redear.

But here’s the thing: you don’t have to be an experienced angler or even know the difference between the bow and stern to have a great time on my boat. That’s what I’m here for!

The Guy Behind the Wheel

Before starting my charter business, I spent years working in recreation management, coaching youth sports, and organizing community programs. I’ve coached soccer for over a decade and even spent two years doing humanitarian work in Bulgaria.

Those experiences taught me that the best memories aren’t always about where you go or what you catch. They’re about the people you share them with.

That’s exactly how I approach every charter.

Whether we’re chasing fish, exploring hidden coves, celebrating a birthday, or just enjoying a beautiful day on Lake Havasu, my goal is to make sure everyone steps off the boat with a smile and a story worth telling.
